PAUL BRIDSTON TABLE WITH HAIRPIN LEGS
Kandya, UK 1950s
Paul K. Bridston was house designer at Kandya Ltd, working alongside design consultant Frank Guille who was famous for the iconic ‘Jason’ chair. Bridston is well-known for his model 374 desk, near identical to this table. Both are made from painted steel rod base, plywood and warerite laminate top. Good vintage condition.
Some age related user surface scuffs to top and a couple of millimetre indentations to laminate. An excellent example of British post war modernism to rival the designs of the master Robin Day.
