FILLIKES MAGNETO FLOOR LAMP

A very rare version of the Magneto lamp designed by H Fillekes. The lamp was only produced for a for a short period by Artifort from 1954-1958. There weren’t many made and they were assembled by hand. The lamp articulates around a magnetic ball and socket joint and can be angled in any direction. The black finish has an unusual crackle glaze. Excellent condition for its age – minor usage marks and slightly tarnished metal. An exceptional piece of Dutch modernism. A statement piece.
